About the Therapist

Marcia is a graduate of Carlson College of Massage Therapy in Stone City, Iowa, a COMTA (Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation) accredited school. She learned Therapeutic Massage techniques to include many deep tissue specifics used in cases of accute and chronic pain relief. Improving posture is a key focus in her work. When the body is in good posture, proper breathing is possible, healthy heart function, muscle attachments are not strained, reducing potential for injury and pain issues. Marcia's favorite continuing education has been Lymph Drainage Therapy (LDT) through the Chikly Institute. She understands the advantage of utilizing LDT in appropriate applications for her clients success in recovery, especially post surgical applications. Marcia attended Centers for Barefoot Massage Fundamentals and Intermediate courses for her Barefoot training. This modality allows for the deepest pressure for clients who wish for the comfort of deep pressure with no "pokey" feeling from fingers or knuckles.
