Therapeutic Massage provides evidence-informed support for musculoskeletal pain, stress regulation, and functional recovery. A 10-minute session may help reduce muscle tension and soreness by improving local circulation and supporting short-term tissue recovery and inflammation control.

A 2011 study published in the Annals of Internal Medicine (Cherkin et al.) found massage therapy to be comparable in effectiveness to medication, acupuncture, yoga, and exercise for chronic low back pain. Therapeutic Massage may also support stress regulation by reducing cortisol levels and increasing serotonin and dopamine activity, which are associated with improved mood and emotional balance.

Evidence referenced by WebMD and the Touch Research Institute (TRI) suggests massage therapy may reduce the frequency and severity of migraine and tension-type headaches in some individuals. TRI findings also indicate that 10–15 minute chair massage sessions may improve attention-based task performance, including speed and accuracy.

Massage therapy may further support sleep quality by promoting delta wave activity, associated with deep restorative sleep (Health magazine). Therapeutic Massage can be integrated into a comprehensive wellness plan to support pain management, stress reduction, cognitive performance, and sleep health—even in brief, targeted sessions.
